{"id":531,"date":"2021-05-08T17:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-08T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.designcons.it\/en\/?p=531"},"modified":"2021-04-30T12:06:22","modified_gmt":"2021-04-30T10:06:22","slug":"ceramic-clock-model-2-by-george-nelson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.designcons.it\/en\/2021\/05\/08\/ceramic-clock-model-2-by-george-nelson\/","title":{"rendered":"Ceramic Clock Model 2 by George Nelson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Clock made by Goerge Nelson in 1953 for Vitra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is part of a collection consisting of three pieces, which takes precisely the name of Ceramic Clocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the three clocks that are part of the collection, Model 2 is definitely the one with the most unique shape. These objects combine geometric and organic shapes, and are both playful and sculptural at the same time. They are a strong example of 1950s American Modernism, shapes that are still pleasing but definitely don&#8217;t belong in our time. They are made of glazed porcelain and initially the Model 2 was launched in the color yellow. Now, however, Vitra reproposes it in a variety of colors, to make it more current.
